Hello dear friends...all three of you. I apologize for the silence. It is the end of the era, you see. Life has come full circle.
I began this blog over two years ago in an effort to process this new state which felt, in all honesty, more foreign to me than living overseas. Since then, Nevada has been the land of variety, beauty, stillness, and adventure for me. The Nevada Conservation Corps has significantly contributed to this experience for me, and now it is time for the NCC and I to say good bye.
Two years ago, I began in the NCC as a crew member, simultaneously blogging the experience over here at Nevada365. Over time, this blog made its way onto the website of the NCC. Over a year ago, my membership in the NCC ended, but the boyfriend's continue. At the same time, a Jewish mother in New England read this blog and told her son that he would (cue Boston accent) "just love it out there" . A year ago, a Jewish son joined the boyfriend's new crew. Two weeks ago, that crew came to an end and with it my personal ties to the NCC. Two weeks ago, I heard this story and was blown away.
So that's all folks. The 365 day experience of Nevada has come to an end. Yes, my life in the Nevada still continues, but my time on this blog has come to an end. You can follow the rest of my adventures in art and the outdoors in Nevada and beyond at sarahventures.blogspot.com.
Happy trails to all.
