Fletcher, Kemp, Stephen and I explored Valley of Fire State Park. This area contains stunning red sandstone, petroglyphs, and wildlife. The petroglyphs are over 4,000 years old so it is up to the imaginations of anthropologists to guess the meaning of these rock pictures. I would love to know more about the mystical bat woman of the Basket Maker people.
